About Miriam Sayeed
Miriam Sayeed has been an osteopathic manual practitioner since 2004. Upon graduation from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in physical therapy, she worked in the United States at a rehabilitation hospital participating on specialized multi-disciplinary teams for head injury, stroke and chronic pain. She finished her career there as a program leader that achieved CARF certification. Upon completing her clinical residency in Canada, she worked at a private practice. She founded "Back-on-Track" in 1997 in order to offer one hour individualized appointments and comprehensive care for her patients in her native Kingston, Ontario. As a lifelong learner, she furthered her education at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, completing an intensive five year programme in osteopathic manual practice and successfully defending her thesis in 2004. Since then, she has continued to refine her skill level through participation in post graduate education with renowned European and American osteopaths. In addition, she has continued to participate with the College of Osteopathy serving as both a thesis adviser and pre-reader as well as serving on a thesis jury. She recently retired her physical therapy license as of December, 2021 and now offers exclusively osteopathic treatment.
Her practice success has been spread almost exclusively by "word of mouth" from satisfied clients. Due to demand, there may be a 4 to 8 week waiting list for new patients.
Miriam is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and the Canadian Federation of Osteopaths. For information about the practice of osteopathy in the province of Ontario, please visit www.osteopathyontario.org
